About Me
I was born and raised in a small town in southern Louisiana. After high school, I ventured out and pursued a degree at the University of New Orleans. After two years of accumulating student loan debt and not having a single clue what I wanted to do with my life, I did what any broke college student would do: I enlisted in United States military. I joined the Air Force at twenty-one years old and was stationed in Alaska for four years. While in Alaska, I endured many harsh winters, which mostly involved me sitting in my apartment reading anything I could get my hands on. I finished my service, became a mom, and a year ago decided to return to UNO with my newfound love for English. My travels in Alaska have inspired me to write about all my favorite things to do in some of the places I have visited.
